AM Law 100 firm leverages always-on creative services to create marketing collateral for global network 

CHALLENGE

A global Am Law 100 firm was seeking a high-end creative services platform that included a print-ready design solution that would help it create marketing collateral at reduced costs and superior quality. The firm wanted to offer international attorneys 24/7 access by implementing an effective workflow process and deploying a technology solution that would process house samples.  

SOLUTION

RRD initiated a due diligence process by deploying a project manager at the client site for two weeks to map and document the current operational practices, as well as review operating guidelines, templates, and training materials.

Following this, a four-week pilot was launched with two FTEs to test the technology platform, workflow process, reporting, and operating guidelines. In partnership with the firm, the onsite marketing contact assisted in job submission, clarification, and review to provide regular feedback to the RRD team.

Once the pilot was completed, RRD transitioned the onsite positions to the RRD team through a structured redundancy process. This resulted in a dedicated offsite team of 11 FTEs proficient in advanced creative design and equipped with the appropriate software to provide coverage to all international offices.

RESULTS

By partnering with RRD to build a customized and scalable solution, the firm was able to provide support for its international offices, increase efficiency, and reduce costs by 30 percent. Streamlining the process enabled its marketing team to focus on client service while leaving the staffing, training, and resource allocation tasks to RRD. 

Our proprietary real-time editing tool allowed the client’s employees to design on-the-go and bridge the gap in expectations regarding the end product. To address workflow bottlenecks, we also implemented our RRD METRICS tool — a workflow system offers complete project lifecycle transparency— which allowed the team to quickly view the work in real-time and thereby ensure improved turnaround times and deadline adherence.
